Description

Bovine Mastitis pathogens can infect cows both during the dry period and when cows are lactating. It is important to identify and recognize the source of these infections, as approaches to control, prevention and treatment of the pathogen's effects. The main bacterial species that cause mastitis in dairy cattle are Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus agalactiae, Staphylococcus aureus, Mycoplasma spp and Escherichia coli, although more than 200 organisms have been identified as mastitis-causing pathogens. The VetPCR Bovine mastitis Detection Kit is the direct detection of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Mycoplasma bovis, Streptococcus uberis, and S. agalactiae on the basis of a genetic database, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific genes using the mPCR (Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate, and reliable technique.
