Description

Hepatozoon canis is a tick borne protozoan parasite, classified in the Phylum Apicomplexa. The parasite is primarily transmitted by the tick, Rhipicephalus sanguineus. In dogs, the infection results in the development of schizonts within various tissues and gamonts in the peripheral blood. Hepatozoon canis infection in dogs can be associated with a distinct clinical syndrome that involves chronic myositis, debilitation, and death. VetPCR Hepatozoon canis Detection Kit is the direct detection of Hepatozoon canis on the basis of a genetic database, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate, and reliable technique.
